Alias

The new season of Alias is 9 episodes in and just like J.J. Abrams other hit show Lost there are many questions for one to ponder. 1.) Why has Jack a.k.a Spy Daddy been so quiet? 2.) What is he up to? 3.) Is Irina Derevko really dead? 4.) Why is Sloane in charge? 5.) Will Vaughn ever shave? So many important questions and only 11 episodes left in which to have them answered.

"A Man Of His Word” continued the storyline with one of Alias’ best villains, Anna Espinoza. Since season one she has given Syd-vicious a run for her money. Keeping up with Sydney punch for punch and move for move, coming close to checkmating Sydney more than once. We are hoping that even though Anna is in CIA Custody that the fights between the super spies won’t end anytime soon but knowing that Gina Torres (Anna Espinoza) has a pilot deal with ABC worries us that her apperances will be few and far between. At least Sark is back on the run!

What was up with the whole scene between Vaughn, Sark and the “I’m just napping” looking Lauren? If we only looked as good alive as she looked dead! Was it just us or was that make shift morgue cemetery odd? It was too cryptic and the scene was too long for it not to be foreshadowing coming events.

Side note to Sark, you are one strange man. Your loyalties change to go with whatever way the wind blows but you were unusually loyal to Vaughn’s dead wife. Way to call Vaughn out on killing Lauren by pointing out the CIA triangle pattern and making the recently emotionless Vaughn face what he had done. But seriously what was going on with you gently and lovingly touching her bullet wounds. ICK! You probably, like the rest of us, were waiting for sleeping beauty to open her eyes and give you a wink and let you know she’s still on your side and very much alive.

When did Spy Daddy become a doctor? He has strangled a man only to bring him back by using a defibrillator. He has stabbed a needle directly into Sloane’s heart to bring him back from the dead and now four times the normal dosage to wake Nadia up! Risking her death just so he could get the information. Something is going on between Jack and Sloane and if he keeps it all inside one day he is going to explode at Sloane (oh, please do! There are few things better than Spy Daddy threatening someone).

P.S. Where is Dixon? What’s he been doing? Also, any scene with Marshall is always a winner. Keep him coming and send him on some missions. Sydney dressing up to look like Lauren is a whole other column and therapy session for Vaughn. We think there is some hidden meaning to that. It wouldn’t be a J.J. Abrams show if we didn’t have more questions at the end of the show than we did at the beginning.

I agree the show is just know starting to pick up steam. I think that Sloan will not make it to the end of the season because I think Jack will kill him before he is able to pull off some sidious plan. Vaughn is becoming not one of my favorite characters because 10x colder now in this season than ever before. Go get'm Sid!
