Gimme Some More

We know, we know! It’s been a while. So, today is Blog City USA. First, let’s talk about the new shows and the renewed shows. We’re gonna start with the things that made us happy. Veronica Mars: renewed! YAY! Alias: renewed, but a little worried about the move to Thursday nights by ABC. Why do you want to take away the Lost-Alias one-two punch and put it in direct competition with Survivor and the O.C.? Lost: renewed! See above. Desperate Housewives: renewed! Hip Hip! Grey’s Anatomy: renewed! Hurray!

Now, onto the things that make us sad. The loss of Jack & Bobby has deeply effected us. With the season/series finale being one of the best hours of television that night, we knew it wasn’t coming back. Let’s face it, the show was way over the WB’s head. And, at least one of us is sad about seeing Eyes go. Tim Daly you will be missed. It was fun having absolutely no time for ourselves on Wednesday nights. We like it when television consumes us.

And now, things that make us go hmmm. Scrubs was picked up! Yippee! However, where is it’s placement on the Fall or even Winter schedule? NBC better start steppin’ it up! Right now they are really lacking on the “shows we love” meter.

As for new shows, there are far too many to mention at this time. BUT, we are very pleased to see the return of several of our favorite actors. Lots O Joss Whedon players here, like Alyson Hannigan (in How I Met Your Mother), Nicholas Brendon (in Kitchen Confidential, also featuring Alias/Jack & Bobby hunk Bradley Cooper), David Boreanaz (in Bones), Christian Kane (in Close To Home), and Whedon-In-Law Freddie Prinze, Jr. (in Freddie). We can’t wait to see the goods this fall!
